Mean Green is from the bay area, and is currently the DJ at Houston's 97.9 Da Box. He has been in the hip-hop game for about 20 years. He knows and supports almost all the bay area rappers. He has known P for about 5 or 6 years. He used to manage many groups under his own consulting company, now called Green House. He wanted to get out of the bay area to promote its underground music, he felt as if San Fran's radio station KMEL wasn't doin anythang to promote their own music. So He got a job in Houston's 97.9 Da Box,and now he has been here for 8 years. His debut release on No Limit, Major Players, sold really well. Also, in a recent interview, he stated tha he plans on releasing a sequal to major players sometime in 99. He hasn't said the title yet though due to copyright issues. |
