Mia X Talks About "Mama Drama"No Limit rapper Mia X has teamed up with her new labelmate, Snoop Dogg, and Latino rapper Fat Joe for a song entitled "What's Your Point?" for her upcoming album, "Mama Drama." The usually hard-edged Mia X talked with MTV recently about the meaning of the more genteel-themed song, which addresses the potential union of East and West Coast hip-hop. What I'm kinda excited about," Mia X explained, is that I did something with Fat Joe and Snoop Dogg, and it's called, 'What's Your Point?' and it's about unifying hip-hop. 'Because it ain't where you from, it's how you come.' So, we're all [in the song], representing the real hard [core] and everything, and it's really, really tight." The first single from "Mama Drama" is "Whatcha Wanna Do," a cut which features Gap Band singer Charlie Wilson, who appears in the recently-shot video for the song, which was directed by Gee Bee, along with his fellow Gap Band members. |
